Julie Dominick
Elementary Education
Julie Dominick got married right out of high school, raised four boys as a stay-at-home mom, and then entered the workforce. "I wanted to return to college and get my degree in teaching, a passion I’ve always had. I also wanted to show my boys it is never too late to chase your dreams!"
Julie is currently a paraprofessional educator with the Sussex Consortium. "Last year I supported students in mainstream classes. I connected with this particular class of kids who encouraged me greatly to be a teacher. I really owe it to them as to why I decided to FINALLY pursue my teaching degree!"
Julie has found herself overwhelmed with juggling work, home life, and school, but staying on top of assignments and communicating openly with her instructors has helped her greatly. "Communication is really key."
After graduating from Delaware Tech, Julie plans to transfer to Wilmington University to pursue a bachelor’s degree. She would like to be a special education teacher.
