Victoria Brown was shy in high school, afraid to raise her hand or ask for help. That has changed since she came to Delaware Tech to follow her passions and study nursing and accounting. "Delaware Tech has allowed me to come out of my shell and get the help I needed to succeed," she said.

Brown said a passion for taking care of others led her to pursue nursing, while a love for numbers, money, and organization makes accounting a good fit. She would love to help teach students money management skills. She also wants to work in the nursing field on a cardiac unit. She plans to continue her education to get her BSN and become a cardiac nurse.

Brown was able to take advantage of the SEED scholarship to cover her tuition from college, making it easier to be involved with the school.

"For the future student, make friends, join clubs, and just have fun," she said. "There will be times where you need to be serious and take time for school, but make sure you have the proper balance."
